Unique Program Features
Healthcare Screenings for the Homeless: Students can volunteer to provide clinical services at the Firehouse Shelter in Birmingham with faculty from the School of Health Professions.Admissions Preference: Approximately 60% of students in the Class of 2022 were Alabama residents, while the other 40% came from other states.Dual Degree: This program offers a dual degree MSPAS/MPH program, where students begin online MPH courses in the spring and summer prior to PA program matriculation in the fall.Addiction Medicine Rotation: The program offers a specialized elective addiction medicine rotation to enhance student’s training in opioid and other substance use disorders.
